Untitled by Danielle Millen

Victory is torn
Lies like poison bore
As if trickery is good
For the world

Yet truth
Can overcome
If truth spread like love

But if bad still
Spreads like hate
We can only wait

Lies
Never pure
Never true
Never fair
Never new

Truth
Perhaps good
Matters when
Perhaps new
Decide when

Still confused
Just understand
Truth and lies
Go hand in hand

Time can hopefully show
A victor of war
For if truth were to win
The world be perfect once again

Yet the world hasn’t
Been perfect for long
For lies spread like song

Victory still torn
War rumbles like a storm
Victory will have to wait
Till we truly know

Love and Hate
